The original Cold Spring Shelter, built by the CCC in 1936. Looking at the shelter walls is like walking back in time -- boy scouts, hikers, and lovebirds had carved and written their initials and dates as far back as 1946.


With Chris "The Prof" and "Daddy Mention" above the Nantahala River. At the Nantahala Outdoor Center, I purchased some trekking poles and some Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough -- both great investments.
