Easily accessible from Tuolumne Meadows, the section of the Pacific Crest Trail along the Tuolumne River is one of its most superb: the snowmelt-fed froth spills over granite bedrock and the 100-foot high Tuolumne Falls, and in this particular photo the scene is made even more remarkable by a last-minute appearance after a thunderstorm-filled afternoon.
